Pokémon Sword & Shield is the perfect end to generation 8 of the Pokémon saga. A completely new world based on the British landscape was a challenging task. But, nonetheless, Game Freak managed to pull it off. People may complain about every game being repetitive. But, only the hardcore Pokémon fans understand and appreciate the subtle differences.

Plot: Pokémon Sword & Shield

Sword and Shield takes place in the Galar area, a large, narrow swath of land that is one of numerous in the Pokémon world. According to game director Shigeru Ohmori, it has a more modern setting. The territory is themed after the United Kingdom, containing sights like the Houses of Parliament and the Cerne Abbas Giant. Country settlements with cottages and Victorian architecture can be found to the south of the Galar region. The region’s heart is populated by a steampunk-style city inspired by the Industrial Revolution.

You can find Pokémon Gyms resembling football stadiums in many of the region’s towns and cities. As directed by Rose, the Galar Pokémon League Chairman, they demonstrate both Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing. The Wild Area is located in the territory’s south-central section and encompasses a large portion of it. However, in the Wild Area, the weather is continuously changing. Pokémon from previous games have regional Galarian Forms, which have new type, attributes, and appearances, exactly like in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Linoone and Meowth, for example, can evolve into regional versions, which is a first in the franchise.

What is the Razor Claw?

During battle, the Razor Claw, a held item, improves the holder’s critical hit ratio by one stage. However, that isn’t the only purpose for this elusive artefact. The Razor Claw is a held item in Pokemon Sword and Shield that boosts the holder’s critical hit rate and is required for Sneasel evolution.

While the Razor Claw is useful in battle, it’s also a must if you want to evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Sword & Shield. It must be carrying a Razor Claw while levelling up at night for the dual Dark and Ice-type Pokemon to evolve into a Weavile.

How to get the Razor Claw?

The Dusty Bowl is the first place where players can find a Razor Claw. You can find a Razor Claw in the island’s northeast corner if they travel to the northwest island. It even has a 25% chance of reappearing after being discovered, though players should keep in mind that they’ll need to use the Rotom Bike Water Mode to get there.

The town of Stow-on-Side is the next location where players can find a Razor Claw in Pokemon Shield or Sword. There’s a chance that the shopkeeper will sell a Razor Claw for 3,000 PokeDollars if you go to the Bargain Shop there. Players will have a one in 28 chance of earning a Razor Claw this way, but if they return every day or alter the date on their Switch, they will ultimately be able to get one.
