Scarlet Nexus was the most awaited game of the year 2020. YouTubers, Twitch streamers, Reddit gamers, basically everyone was excited about its launch. Many players are asking for a multiplayer (and still do). But, will the game ever shell out a multiplayer version?
Scarlet Nexus is an action role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of a third-person character. Players can take control of either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, members of the Other Suppression Force entrusted with protecting New Himuka against the Others. Both Yuito and Kasane have the talent of psychokinesis, which allows them to hurl objects and trash at hostile adversaries while equipped with short-range weaponry like a sword.
The “brain map,” which acts as the game’s skill tree, can be used to improve the protagonist’s abilities. As the game progresses, players will meet new party members who will aid them in a fight. Each companion has its own distinct combat abilities, which the heroes can learn through a skill called “brain connection.”
Will Scarlet Nexus ever include multiplayer?
To be clear, there will be no multiplayer in Scarlet Nexus. Because the game is a full single-player experience, co-op fans will have to play the entire game by themselves. It’s unclear whether a co-op mode will be added in the future, but for the time being, players shouldn’t expect to play this game with their friends. While this is disappointing, it does allow Bandai Namco to concentrate more on developing an engaging plot and telling the story it wants to tell.
The same bad news also happens to gamers who enjoy competitive multiplayer and want it to be implemented in Scarlet Nexus in some way. Instead, players always play PvE against each other. But when you think about it, it makes honest sense, as it’s hard to understand that OSF members fight often. If you’re lucky, the player’s companion AI will work. In any case, players have to wait for a sequel where developers can build a multiplayer system from scratch.
